On the Way to the Upper Peninsula

Hello and welcome to the blog of U.P. of Michigan. Beginning tomorrow my parents and I will be making our way to a family reunion in Baraga Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. This will be my first time here along with my mom my dad hasn’t been here in many years. About 50 or so family members will be attending some I will meet for the very first time. Its going to be a lot of fun so enjoy our adventures.

Mackinac Island

On our way north to the Upper Peninsula we stopped here in Mackinac Island. Very cool place to visit it likes a trip back into a time warp. There are no cars on the island you take a ferry here takes about 16 minutes or so to get to the island. My parents and I rented bikes and rode around the island which 8.2 miles. They also have horse drawn carriages taking people around the island as well loading various freight. Very cool place to visit I recommend it.
